What is
Sculptra?
Poly-L-lactic acid, with a different timeline.
Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid injectable used for selected facial wrinkles and contour concerns. Unlike a hyaluronic acid gel, its intended aesthetic effect develops through a tissue response over time.
Planning focuses on your starting point, the appropriate areas and a staged review of progress. It is not a treatment for instant lip volume and cannot be dissolved like hyaluronic acid filler.

The injected material stimulates a collagen response as the tissue changes over time. Fullness immediately after the appointment is not the same as the eventual result.
Your provider determines whether the product and treatment area are suitable and explains how the course will be reviewed.
During your appointment
- Plan. Discuss facial changes, previous injectables and whether a gradual approach fits your goals.
- Treat. The product is prepared and placed by the treating clinician.
- Review. Follow product-specific aftercare and reassess before additional treatment.

Downtime & recovery
Allow for temporary swelling, bruising and tenderness. Your provider will explain aftercare and when to assess the settled appearance; an immediate photograph is not the final result.

No. Early swelling and the injected fluid can affect the appearance. The intended response develops over time.
Can it be dissolved if I change my mind?
It cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase like hyaluronic acid filler. Discuss that difference before treatment.
How do Sculptra results develop?

What will my treatment cost?

What should I discuss before treatment?
Discuss medications and supplements with your Revival provider before treatment. Do not stop prescribed medication without guidance from the prescribing clinician. Bruising, swelling, lumps, nodules and infection can occur. Intravascular injection can cause serious injury. Sculptra is not readily reversed with hyaluronidase.
