What is
PRP hair restoration?
The cause comes before the procedure.
PRP for hair uses a platelet-rich preparation from your own blood in selected scalp areas. It may be considered for some forms of thinning, but it does not treat every cause of hair loss or create new hair follicles.
Sudden shedding, patchy loss, scalp inflammation and progressive thinning need an appropriate diagnosis. Your assessment may include discussion of medical treatment or referral rather than proceeding directly to PRP.

After blood is processed, the platelet-rich portion is injected into the selected scalp area. Platelet signaling is the rationale for supporting existing follicles.

- Prepare. Collect and process a blood sample if PRP is appropriate.
- Treat & track. Treat the selected scalp area and compare progress over time under consistent conditions.

Downtime & recovery
The blood draw and scalp injections can cause tenderness, swelling, bruising or pinpoint bleeding. Follow scalp-care advice and report signs of infection.
How results develop
Hair change takes time. Some people respond better than others, and maintenance or another therapy may be needed. A fixed increase in density cannot be promised.
