What is
Cheek filler?
Support for the midface.
Cheek filler places an injectable material in selected parts of the midface to change volume or contour. It may be considered for age-related volume change or to explore definition.
Your provider assesses the cheek in relation to the lower eyelid, nose and lower face. Adding volume is not the same as surgically lifting tissue; the expected change should be clear before treatment.

Placement defines the change.
The filler changes the contour at the chosen depth and location. Treating the front of the cheek creates a different visual effect from treating its outer aspect.
Assessment includes existing fullness and previous filler. The plan should avoid treating a single photograph while overlooking movement and other angles.
During your appointment
- Assess. Your provider examines the area at rest and in movement, reviews previous filler and discusses the appropriate product and amount.
- Treat. Filler is placed at selected points using a needle or cannula.
- Review. You receive aftercare guidance and a plan for reviewing the settled result.

It can change midface contour, but it is not a substitute for a surgical lift and cannot resolve every source of lower-face laxity.
Is more projection always the aim?
No. Discuss whether the goal is volume restoration, definition or no added projection.

What should I discuss before treatment?
Discuss medications and supplements with your Revival provider before treatment. Do not stop prescribed medication without guidance from the prescribing clinician. Filler can cause swelling, infection, lumps and asymmetry. Accidental injection into a blood vessel can cause tissue damage, blindness or stroke. Sudden vision changes, unusual severe pain or pale or dusky skin require urgent medical attention.
