What is
Laser resurfacing?
A precise treatment of selected skin zones.
Fractional resurfacing treats microscopic zones of skin while leaving surrounding areas untreated. Different lasers act at different depths; ablative and non-ablative treatments have distinct recovery and risk profiles.
Revival’s resurfacing plan should identify the exact device and mode before you commit. A platform name alone does not tell you how intensive the treatment will be or what results to expect.

A fractional laser creates controlled zones of thermal effect. In non-ablative resurfacing, the approach is intended to work below the surface without removing the whole outer layer.
The Lumenis ResurFX is one example of this technology. Its manufacturer information does not establish which handpiece or configuration is appropriate for your Revival appointment.
During your appointment
- Review. Discuss the type of texture change, skin tone, previous procedures and healing history.
- Prepare & treat. The area is prepared and appropriate eye protection and comfort measures are used.
- Recover. Follow the agreed skin-care plan and review healing before further procedures.

Downtime & recovery
Redness, swelling, dryness or a rough texture may follow treatment. Recovery differs substantially by device and settings; get an individual timeline before scheduling around an event.

Any change in texture develops through the healing and remodeling process. Deeper scars may need a broader treatment plan, and complete removal is not promised.

What should I discuss before treatment?
Discuss medications and supplements with your Revival provider before treatment. Do not stop prescribed medication without guidance from the prescribing clinician. Burns, pigment changes, infection, scarring and cold-sore reactivation can occur. Tell your provider about a history of pigment problems, slow healing or herpes outbreaks.
