THE REVIVAL GUIDE

Sculptra vs HA filler

Sculptra works through a gradual tissue response; hyaluronic acid filler places gel to add volume or contour. Material, timing and treatment area matter when comparing the two approaches.

01 / MAKING THE DISTINCTION

Separate the product families.

Sculptra uses poly-L-lactic acid. Hyaluronic-acid fillers use a different material and come in multiple formulations. Ask for the exact product rather than assuming that every injectable marketed for volume works in the same way.

02 / MAKING THE DISTINCTION

Talk about the pace of change.

Explain whether you want to address a specific contour or discuss a broader change over time. Your provider should describe when the result will be assessed and whether further treatment is expected. Do not confuse the appearance immediately after an injection with a final outcome.

THE APPROACHES, EXPLAINED

Different methods.
Different roles.

These options are a starting point for a conversation. Your assessment may suggest one approach, a staged combination or a different form of care.

01 / COLLAGEN BIOSTIMULATION

Sculptra

Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid injectable used for selected facial wrinkles and contour concerns. Unlike a hyaluronic acid gel, its intended aesthetic effect develops through a tissue response over time.

Recovery to plan for

Allow for temporary swelling, bruising and tenderness. Your provider will explain aftercare and when to assess the settled appearance; an immediate photograph is not the final result.

What to expect

Changes develop gradually rather than at the moment of injection. Individual response, course and duration vary; no fixed result or treatment count is guaranteed.

02 / VOLUME & CONTOUR

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are injectable materials used to change volume, contour or the appearance of certain lines. Many are made with hyaluronic acid, while other products use different materials and work differently.

Recovery to plan for

Allow for temporary swelling, bruising and tenderness. Your provider will explain aftercare and when to assess the settled appearance; an immediate photograph is not the final result.

What to expect

Some contour change is visible immediately, but swelling can distort it. Longevity varies by material, area and individual response. Maintenance is considered after the result settles.

03 / MAKING THE DISTINCTION

Discuss correction before treatment.

Different materials have different options if the outcome is not what you hoped for. Ask how a concern would be assessed and what management may involve. Reversibility should not be presented as a guarantee of risk-free treatment.

04 / MAKING THE DISTINCTION

Make the written plan comparable.

Ask for product names, quantities, areas, appointment timing and the total cost. Review examples of work that relate to your goal when appropriately consented evidence is available. An attractive offer is not a reason to accept a material you do not understand.

YOUR PLAN AT REVIVAL

Make the next step
an informed one.

01

Understand the starting point.

Share previous procedures, reactions and the change you have in mind. Your clinician reviews your history and examines the area before recommending treatment.

02

Agree on the scope.

Ask which product or device is proposed, why it fits your goal and what alternatives exist. Confirm the number of visits, recovery arrangements and full estimate.

03

Review the response.

Allow the appropriate recovery time before judging the result. Discuss how progress will be recorded and when to review whether further treatment is worthwhile.

Understand the investment.

Compare the same treatment scope. Signature and Reserve offer preferred rates; membership fees and treatment charges are separate.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Good questions.

Ask something else ↗︎
Are all HA fillers identical?

No. Formulations and approved uses differ. Confirm the specific product.

Should I choose only by how long it lasts?

Duration is one factor. Appropriateness, risks, maintenance and the change you want also matter.

Is the first-day fullness the final result?

No. Early swelling and the injected fluid can affect the appearance. The intended response develops over time.

Can every filler be dissolved?

No. Hyaluronidase can break down hyaluronic acid filler, but it does not reverse every type of filler. Removal has its own risks.

Can it be dissolved if I change my mind?

It cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase like hyaluronic acid filler. Discuss that difference before treatment.

How much filler will I need?

The amount follows the assessment, the selected product and your goals. It should not be decided solely by a package size.

How do Sculptra results develop?

Changes develop gradually rather than at the moment of injection. Individual response, course and duration vary; no fixed result or treatment count is guaranteed.

What will my treatment cost?

Ask Revival for the current price for your treatment area and proposed plan. We will discuss the product or device, what is included and any applicable membership terms before you choose.

How should I compare the cost of my options?

Ask for a written estimate naming the treatment, product or device, area, quantity and number of visits. Sculptra and Dermal fillers can have different pricing bases, so a single advertised figure may not describe the same scope. Current standard and eligible member rates are shown on the treatment pages; your provider confirms the complete plan before treatment.
