THE REVIVAL GUIDE

Botox vs Dysport vs Xeomin

Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are different botulinum toxin products. Their units are not interchangeable, so a lower per-unit price alone cannot identify the cheaper treatment. Compare the proposed product, dose and total cost.

01 / MAKING THE DISTINCTION

Three products, one broad treatment category.

Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are different prescription botulinum toxin products used to temporarily reduce selected muscle activity. They are not fillers and do not replace lost volume. A brand preference is only one part of the decision: the area, facial movement, previous response and clinician’s assessment all matter.

02 / MAKING THE DISTINCTION

Start with the proposed area.

Ask which lines or movements the provider intends to treat and whether that use is included in the product’s current label or is off-label. Explain what you want to preserve, including expression and movement. The assessment should identify the reason for the recommendation rather than simply presenting a preferred brand as the best for everyone.

THE APPROACHES, EXPLAINED

Different methods.
Different roles.

These options are a starting point for a conversation. Your assessment may suggest one approach, a staged combination or a different form of care.

01 / WRINKLE RELAXERS

Botox

Botox Cosmetic is a prescription botulinum toxin treatment that temporarily reduces activity in selected muscles. It is used for certain expression-related lines; it does not add volume or replace treatment for every kind of wrinkle.

Recovery to plan for

Small marks, bruises or tenderness can follow injections. Follow the aftercare provided and allow the effect to develop before deciding whether an adjustment is needed.

What to expect

The effect is temporary. Timing and duration vary by product, area and individual response. A treatment interval should follow clinical assessment, not a fixed promotional schedule.

03 / MAKING THE DISTINCTION

A unit is not a shared currency.

Potency units are product-specific. Comparing one brand’s price per unit with another brand’s figure does not establish which complete treatment costs less. Ask for a written estimate naming the product, planned area and total charge. Do not calculate your own conversion or ask for a dose based on a different product’s units.

04 / MAKING THE DISTINCTION

Past experience is useful context.

Bring the name of any previous injectable, its approximate treatment date and what you liked or disliked about the response. A previous result can inform a conversation without guaranteeing the same result next time. Ask how the provider will review the outcome and what the follow-up price includes before committing.

05 / MAKING THE DISTINCTION

Timing and risks belong in the decision.

Ask about the expected onset, review timing and possible adverse effects for the specific product and proposed use. There is no universal promise that one option acts fastest, lasts longest or is safest for every patient. Read the product’s patient information and discuss medical history with your treating clinician.

At Revival, compare the complete plan.

Our toxin treatment page shows the available published pricing. Confirm the product currently offered and the total plan with the team. This comparison is educational: it does not mean every named brand is available at Revival or appropriate for your treatment.

YOUR PLAN AT REVIVAL

Make the next step
an informed one.

01

Understand the starting point.

Share previous procedures, reactions and the change you have in mind. Your clinician reviews your history and examines the area before recommending treatment.

02

Agree on the scope.

Ask which product or device is proposed, why it fits your goal and what alternatives exist. Confirm the number of visits, recovery arrangements and full estimate.

03

Review the response.

Allow the appropriate recovery time before judging the result. Discuss how progress will be recorded and when to review whether further treatment is worthwhile.

Understand the investment.

Compare the same treatment scope. Signature and Reserve offer preferred rates; membership fees and treatment charges are separate.

Ask something else ↗︎
Can I compare the brands by price per unit?

Not reliably. Units are not interchangeable. Compare the complete proposed treatment and its total price.

Does one brand suit everyone best?

No universal brand choice replaces individual assessment and discussion of previous response.

Does this page mean all three are available at Revival?

No. Confirm current product availability with our team before booking.

Are these treatments the same as filler?

No. Toxin treatment changes selected muscle activity; filler is a different category used for volume or support.

Is Botox the same as filler?

No. Botox affects muscle activity. Filler places material beneath the skin to change volume or contour.

Will my face still move?

Your treatment plan should discuss movement explicitly. Placement and dose affect the result, and a particular appearance cannot be guaranteed.

Do different wrinkle relaxers use the same units?

No. Units are specific to each product and should not be converted as if the products were identical.

When should I assess my Botox result?

The effect is temporary. Timing and duration vary by product, area and individual response. A treatment interval should follow clinical assessment, not a fixed promotional schedule.

What will my treatment cost?

Ask Revival for the current price for your treatment area and proposed plan. We will discuss the product or device, what is included and any applicable membership terms before you choose.
